Blue amber

This page is dedicated to jewellery made with genuine blue amber, hand carved by Sharon from raw blue amber obtained from The Dominican Republic - this type of amber has only been found a handful of areas, and the Dominican Mines have the highest quality.

Each piece of jewellery will be completely unique, a one-off. You will only receive the piece in the photograph. None of these pieces have been chemically altered in any way. The colour you see is 100% natural. Each Dominican Blue Amber piece comes with a certificate of authenticity from the mine.

A truly gorgeous Dominican oval pendant. Dominican Amber is a stronger blue than the Mexican and this one is no exception. A nice graduated blue, rounded with sterling silver that shows the piece in all its glory. Dimensions approx. 15mm x 25mm

A large chunk of Dominican Amber on a simple sterling silver bail. This has incredible inclusions both inside and out, making it a truly unique stone. Dimensions approx. 30mm x 20mm and 10mm deep.

A simple sterling silver bail holds this nicely shaped stone, with few surface inclusions. It hangs on a snake chain in a choice of lengths. 15mm x 18mm

A large, exquisite piece of Dominican Blue Amber, cradled by freeform sterling silver leaves. The stone measures 30mm x 47mm so really makes a statement. Rather autumnal, I think; though why I'm thinking of autumn in March is another matter!

Inclusions within the stone are hypnotic- a little like staring deep into a lake. A good sized piece of Dominican Blue Amber, measuring approx. 27mm x 40mm, encircled by sterling silver.
